SPED 4600B - Educational Assessment of tudents with Disabilities

Prerequisite: SPED 3700A SPED 3700B SPED 3700C
This course will equip candidates with the basic skills requisite to identify, select, and administer appropriate assessment instruments for identifying students’ specific academic and nonacademic strengths and weaknesses. Candidates will learn to analyze and interpret assessment results as related to students with suspected or identified special needs. In addition to surveying the principles and methods of educational measurement and test construction, this course will also focus on the use of assessment data to guide the adaptation of instruction to address students’ learning needs and to document their achievement.
