GFA 2140 - Fundamentals of Sound Design with Avid Pro Tools 100

Prerequisite: GFA 1040 with a grade of C or higher
In GFA 2140, Fundamentals Of Sound Design With Avid Pro Tools 100, students learn the tools and techniques of post-production sound design, which are presented through lecture, demonstration, and hands-on exercises. GFA 2140 is the lower-level option of GFA 3140. Students cannot take both the 2000 and 3000/4000 level option of equivalent courses. Either the 2000 or 3000 level course would satisfy the prerequisite for its related 4000 level course. If pursuing the Nexus, the 3000/4000 level-upper division course is required. Pursuing the 2000 level course will not result in a Nexus degree, but may be used towards GFA certification.
