ENGL 3822 - Creative Writing Workshop: Fiction (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: Successful completion of ENGL 1102 and ENGL 3800 with a grade of C or higher This course expands on the techniques of fiction writing, focusing on various narrative elements such as story structure, characterization, point of view, narrative distance, theme and revision. By reading and discussing published fiction, students will learn some of the elements and decisions that make up literary fiction and work at applying this learning to their own writing. Students will also learn to critique each other’s work in workshops and revise their work.
