POLS 3200 - Comparative Legal Systems (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: POLS 1101 and ENGL 1102 with a grade of C or better or permission of the instructor This course compares the development, structure and processes of the world’s major legal systems from a global perspective, including common law, civil (code) law, religious and socialist legal systems and customary dispute resolution in traditional societies. The course explores the roles of a country’s economic and political structures, culture and religion in administering justice.
