POLS 4390 - Legal Writing and Research (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: POLS 1101 and ENGL 1102 with a grade of C or better or permission of the instructor In this course, students will learn the tools and methods of legal research and writing. The course covers methods for locating and analyzing statutory and case authorities and writing legal memoranda, correspondence and briefs in trial court and appellate contexts. In addition, students will practice identifying issues in client interview settings and articulating legal issues in simulated appellate arguments.
