SOCI 3510 - Gender and Aging (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: ENGL 1102 and either SOCI 1101 or SOCI 1160 , or Permission of Instructor This course examines aging from a sociological perspective, paying particular attention to the gendered ways in which the process of aging occurs. Using a life course theoretical framework, we will examine both institutions and individuals to explore how the process of aging differs for women and men across cultures and time periods.
