POLS 4001 - International Development (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: ENGL 1101 and ENGL 1102 with a grade of C or better or permission of the instructor This course will introduce students to various approaches to international development, focusing on a variety of experiences of countries in the Global South. The course will explore several themes concerning international development, including foreign investment, women’s issues, international trade, global inequality, the role of international organizations and corruption.
