HDAS 3000 - Aging and Cultural Diversity (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: ENGL 1102 and HDAS 2000 with a grade of “C” or better or Permission of Instructor This course illuminates cultural, biological, physiological, emotional, cognitive, economic, and social aspects of aging and how these concepts vary across many dimensions, including social class, race/ethnicity, gender, religion, and others. It examines local, national, and global polices to open a consideration of and sensitivity to issues of aging and a recognition that policies often fail to reflect the realities of those at the bottom of social hierarchies.
