BUSA 4650 - Business Research Methods

(3) Credit Hours
Prerequisite: BUSA 3000 , BUSA 3200 , Junior or Senior Status, or permission of instructor
Business Research Methods is a workshop course designed for undergraduate business majors. The goal of the course is that, by completion, students will know the answers to all of the following seven questions: (1) What is the purpose of research? (2) What does a research paper look like? (3) Where do research ideas come from? (4) How does one conduct research? (5) How does one turn completed research into a manuscript? (6) How does one present their research to others? and  (7) How does one publish their research? While learning the answers to these questions, students will conduct their own research and construct an original, full-length research article. Though much of the knowledge and skills acquired in this course may be applied to most any area of research, it is designed for those seeking to publish research in the wide field of business and who have never done so.
