NURS 3031 - Professional Nursing II

(2) Credit Hours
Prerequisite:  NURS 3000 , NURS 3020 , NURS 3030   with a Grade of C or higher
This course further explores the ethical and legal content related to moral theories and the application to nursing practice.  In addition, this course allows students to self-reflect on personal bias that impact nursing care and exposes students to ethical dilemmas in health care. Advocacy for populations will be explored and demonstrated through service-learning opportunities offered in the course. Role playing, case studies, legal case review, and social media are some of the learning modalities used in this course. Students will have the opportunity to continue to develop their professional portfolio through preparation for job interviews and resume writing.
