PHIL 2010 - Introduction to Philosophy

(3) Credit Hours
Prerequisite: ENGL 1101  
This course provides an introduction to philosophical thoughts and ideas by allowing students to explore the nature of sound arguments, the argument for and against the existence of God, questions regarding the meaning of life, the nature and kinds of ethical decision making, the nature and sources of human knowledge. During the course, students will learn the meaning and vocabulary of philosophy, the value of critical thinking and the application of philosophy across disciplines. Students will also examine philosophical thought in a global context.
