PSYC 3020 - Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences

Prerequisite: PSYC 1102 ; (MATH 1111  or MATH 1001 , MATH 1401 ) or higher
This course is designed as an introduction to the descriptive and inferential statistical methods used in psychology and provides students with the basic tools for evaluating data from studies in the behavioral sciences. Topics include basic descriptive measures of central tendency and variability; hypothesis testing; testing for differences between means, and correlation and measures of association. The applications of basic statistical concepts are emphasized.
