ENGL 3860 - Grant Writing (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: ENGL 1102 with a grade of C or higher and Sophomore status This course introduces students to the fundamentals of grant writing and grant research in a dynamic, active learning environment that partners students with nonprofit organizations in Gwinnett County. Students will learn how to read, write, and respond to RFPs; conduct grant research using a variety of tools and resources, including the Foundation Center database; draft persuasive, evidence-based arguments and respond to questions; draft and assemble the various components of grant proposals, including project descriptions, methodology sections, literature reviews, and budgets; and work collaboratively with a variety of constituents to the process. Students will also learn how to write both solicited and unsolicited grant proposals.
