MIS 3600 - Business Intelligence for Managers

Prerequisite: (MIS 3100  or BUSA 3100  or ITEC 2201 ) and (BUSA 2000   or MATH 2050 )
New internet technologies have fundamentally changed how organizations communicate, share information, and make decisions.  These technologies now enable organizations to store and access huge volumes of data from multiple sources.  This data must be analyzed and converted into actionable knowledge to support better business outcomes and managers increasingly need the skills to assimilate, analyze and visualize big data.  This course introduces contemporary business intelligence methodologies, tools, techniques, and management practices to support technology-enabled decision-making.
