CMAP 3100 - Social Media and the Online World

Prerequisite: ENGL 1102 with a grade of C or higher
We use media to analyze our public and private identities for entertainment, communication, and professional networking. Using social networking and engaging in an online culture impacts real world communication, relationships, politics, and thought. Using critical theory on new media, students will gain a greater understanding of the technological and cultural associations of social media through the analysis of its structure, practices, and products.
