MIS 4610 - IT Infrastructure and Security for Managers

3 Credit Hours
Prerequisite: (MIS 3100  or  BUSA 3100   or ITEC 3100 )  and (ITEC 2120   or ITEC 2140 ) and ITEC 3200  
This course covers the delivery, use, and management of information systems within an information systems environment. It combines theories and concepts of virtualization and cloud computing with practical hands-on activities and projects using software from major commercial leaders.  Students learn to recognize systems threats and vulnerabilities, manage the use of information assets securely, and use concepts in the fields of information security governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance to secure commerce and information assets.
