HUSE 4510 - Internship (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: Completion of Area F courses, 15 credit hours of 3000/4000 HUSE or HDAS courses, Junior Standing or higher and permission of instructor The three-credit HUSE internship is designed for undergraduate students to gain applied experience in a human service setting of choice that will allow them to apply their academic learning meaningful ways. Interns will go through the process of identifying potential internship sites, acquiring an internship, negotiating internship tasks and expectations, and designing an internship that is approved by the program. Several professional development skills such as business etiquette, ethical practices, diversity training, HIPAA and time management will be emphasized. The field experience will provide opportunities to explore a career choice, develop a professional network, and gain advanced training opportunities.
