CHEM 3450 - Foundations of Fermentation Chemistry (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: CHEM 3000K CHEM 3350 Upon completion of this course students will: 1) Explain the function of raw materials used in fermentation processes; 2) Identify the raw materials and processes needed to produce traditional styles of beers and wines; 3) Examine brewing recipes that reflect characteristics styles of beer and wine; and 4) Identify the technological and manufacturing processes required to transform essential raw materials into substances used in brewing.
