GNDR 2500 - Introduction to Gender Theory and Criticism (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: ENGL 1102 and (SOCI 1101 or PSYC 1102 or RELN 1100 or ANTH 1102 ) GNDR 2500, Introduction to Gender Theory and Criticism, is an introduction to theoretical and critical issues in the interdisciplinary field of gender studies. This course explores the social production of knowledge and theory about gendered subjects and gender systems. Students will engage key issues in feminist theory, such as how do feminist scholars identify and frame research questions. Students will read, interpret, and write about theoretical and critical approaches most relevant to and useful for her/his/their own concerns, building a personal foundation for future scholarly and professional work.
