ENGL 2801 - Introduction to Rhetorical Studies (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: ENGL 1102 with a grade of “C” or higher This course introduces Writing and Rhetoric majors to the major terms, issues, and approaches in the theory and practice of rhetoric. This course will help student define rhetoric in both historical and contemporary contexts understand frameworks useful for the analysis of texts, develop a keen awareness of the rhetorical situation, and articulate the relationships among rhetoric, democracy and power.
