ARTS 2100 - Global Survey of Art I: The Ancient World

Prerequisite: ENGL 1101  grade of “C” or higher
Survey of arts produced around the world from prehistory through antiquity.  The course takes a global approach, drawing connections between the arts of the Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas to understand the role of art in negotiating human relationships with the world around them, paying particular attention to the role of art within the formation of early states.
