ARTS 2200 - Global survey of Art II Rome to Renaissance

Prerequisite: ENGL 1101 with a grade of “C” or better.
Survey of arts produced around the world from c. 500 through c. 1550. The course takes a global approach to situate the role of art in negotiating new realities that resulted from the political vacuum of the fall of the Roman Empire, and the spread of new religions, including Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism.
