PHED 1101 - Choices for Life (1) Credit Hours This course explores specific topics to inform and promote healthy lifestyles. Each topic covered includes information to make good lifestyle choices in a continuum of Wellness. Topics explore the available scientific information, the societal mores and personal choices that affect healthy living and longevity.
Course Outcome Goals:
Students completing this course should be able to:
1. Explain the inter-relationship between the different dimensions of wellness.
2. Understand the factors which affect behavior change, and the risks and
behaviors related to unhealthy lifestyle choices.
3. Understanding percussion only CPR, use of an AED and training to perform this skill
