AFAM 4600 - Directed Study in African American Studies (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: AFAM 2100 and permission of the AFAM minor director This course offers students the opportunity to work with a faculty member on a project that integrates their major and African American Studies concepts. Students will design a final project that demonstrates applied learning; this includes but is not limited to digital projects (such as web pages or podcasts), oral histories, creative writing, service learning, and supervised research. Course content and instructional methodologies are determined by the faculty member in discussion with the student. This course may be repeated for credit when the topic varies.
