Admission to the MAT Program

Special Education for Secondary Teachers examines the legal, ethical, and instructional responsibility of teachers with students with exceptionalities. MAT candidates will conduct and present research on the legal foundation of special education and services guaranteed by such laws. Candidates must earn a grade of "B" or better in order to meet the special education requirement of Georgia House Bill No. 671 and to be recommended for educator certification in Georgia.
