Admission to the MAT Program

Science Methods for Secondary Teachers focuses on strategies for implementing inquiry-driven science instruction. Informed by theory and research in science education, MAT candidates will gain a deeper understanding of approaches to inquiry-based science teaching and learning. MAT candidates will develop learning activities for secondary students that encourage discovery and exploration in the science classroom. This course includes an in-person site-based learning experience.
