POLS 4720 - Constitutional Law: Civil Liberties and Civil Rights (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: POLS 1101 and ENGL 1102 (with a grade of C or better or permission of the instructor) Cross-listed with: CJCR 4720 This course focuses on constitutional protections of liberty and equality, including protections that stem from principles of substantive and procedural due process. Subjects typically covered in the course include equal protection, freedom of expression, rights to privacy, the right to free exercise of religion and the prohibition of laws respecting an establishment of religion.
