PSYC 3110 - Cognitive Psychology (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: PSYC 1102 Cognitive psychology is the scientific study of how sensory input is transformed, reduced, elaborated, stored, recovered, and used. This course provides an in-depth exploration of classic and contemporary theories of cognitive psychology. Emphasis is placed on understanding the various scientific methods that inform major information processing theories. Major topics include attention, mental representations, short-term and long-term memory, psycholinguistics, and judgment and decision making.
