Gender Studies Minor

The interdisciplinary Minor in Gender Studies is suitable for students in a variety of majors seeking to examine and explore expressions of gender-related experiences and perspectives. The program gives students a holistic approach to the discipline by incorporating theory, concepts, and studies from history, social sciences, political science, literature, arts, and popular culture.

Required Course (3 credit hours)

All must be completed with a grade of C or higher

Elective Courses (12 credit hours)

Elective courses must be taken in AT LEAST two different disciplines. Electives must be approved by the prorgram coordinator to insure integrity of a gender focus to qualify for the minor.
