Religious Studies Minor

A minor in Religious Studies will enhance a student’s ability to encounter and successfully interact with today’s increasingly diverse society, locally and beyond. It will also give students skills to think critically about religious ideas using a variety of methodological lenses from the social sciences and humanities.  These skills will help students critically navigate complex socio-economic realities and meet the challenges of thoughtful public discourse.

A successful minor will complete 15 RELN credit hours all completed with a grade of “C” or higher

Religious Studies Requirement


  • (3) Credit Hours If not taken in Area C
  • If RELN 1100 is taken in Area C, then student may replace it with any other RELN course

     

  • 12 credit hours at the 3000/4000 level with RELN prefix.  All 3000/4000 level RELN courses require RELN 1100  as a prerequisite.
