BIOL 3400K - Cell Biology with Laboratory (4) Credit Hours Prerequisite: BIOL 1107K ; BIOL 1108K ; CHEM 1211K A study of cell structure and function at the cellular, sub cellular and molecular levels. Upon completion of this course students will: (1) Relate the structure of cellular components to their functions; (2) Describe the regulation of the cell cycle; (3) Explain and classify various methods of membrane and intracellular transport; (4) Describe the molecular events involved in the regulation of gene expression; (5) Compare concepts of intervellular and intracellular signaling in cell function; (6) Analyze the processes of cell specialization and; (7) Examine cell biological concepts and techniques in scientific research and real world problems.
