HIST 3870 - Historic Preservation (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: ENGL 1101 ENGL 1102 and select 2 courses from the following: (HIST 1111 HIST 1112 HIST 1121 HIST 1122 HIST 2111 HIST 2112 one course must be either (HIST 2111 or HIST 2112 ) all with a grade of C or better This course examines the history, theories, and methods of historic preservation. Topics covered include preservation law, ethics, economics, and politics; historic preservation at the local, state and federal levels; renovation approaches for historic architecture; and revitalization of historic districts and sites. This course may include field trips to historic sites, local museums and historic neighborhoods
