ARTS 3100 - Visual Literacy and Communication (3) Credit Hours Prerequisite: ENGL 1102 with a grade of C or better This course is an exploration as to how people interact with visual media in their environment, both historically and today. This course will use sociological, anthropological, and psychological research to examine the effects of visual media in global societies and cultures as well as individuals. The course will also examine how contemporary technologies are affecting our consumption and production of visual media in global societies and cultures as well as individuals. Students will explore the content of the course through lectures, discussion, written work and visual projects
