ENVS 4750 - Environmental Toxicology 3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: BCHM 3100K or BIOL 3500K or (BIOL 2516K or BIOL 2260k and HSPN 4000 Cross-listed with: BIOL 4750 The foundations of environmental pollutants and biological health. Upon completion of this course, students will: (1) describe dose-response relationships; (2) describe absorption, distribution, storage, biotransformation and elimination of toxicants; (3) describe the chemo dynamics of contaminants in the environment including fate and transport; (4) perform risk assessment; (5) describe methods to test and regulate hazardous substances.
