CJCR 4940 - Senior Seminar in Criminal Justice/Criminology

(3) Credit Hours
Prerequisite:  CJCR 1100 , CJCR 1200 CJCR 2000 , CJCR 2200 , CJCR 2400 CJCR 3200 , CJCR 3300 , CJCR 3400 , CJCR 3500 , CJCR 3600  and senior status
Senior Seminar requires students to demonstrate competencies in the fields of criminal justice and criminology. Students will review, analyze, and integrate information related to the subsystems of criminal justice (i.e., police, courts, and corrections), as well as criminological theory and empirical research methodologies. Mastery of these content areas will be demonstrated through a culminating project to be approved by the instructor of record.

NOTE: Senior Seminar is only open to students majoring in Criminal Justice and Criminology. Students may not self-register for this course. Once all prerequisites have been met, students should email the instructor of record during registration to request enrollment in the course.
